Fred Funk, formerly senior vice president of the national security group at Preferred Systems Solutions, has joined Vistronix as president of cyber and signals intelligence systems.
Funk will oversee the company’s strategy, operations and business development efforts focused on the National Security Agency, Vistronix said Tuesday.
“As the size, scale and scope of Vistronix and its position within the [Intelligence Community] and [intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance] markets continue to grow, we are fortunate to have such an accomplished IC industry leader and business builder as Fred join our team to lead our NSA business, ” said John Hassoun, president and CEO of Vistronix.
Funk has also served as a co-founder of The KEYW Holding Corp., where he previously held the roles of chief financial officer, VP of corporate development and VP of national security solutions.
Prior to joining KEYW, Funk was VP for corporate development at Essex Corp., with responsibility in merger and acquisition activities.
