Tom Davis, a former representative of Northern Virginia’s 11th district and director of federal government affairs at Deloitte, has been named a partner of the public policy and regulation group at global law firm Holland & Knight.
“I look forward to the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience, gained both in government and in business, to help the firm deepen its relationships with clients and to further enhance its reputation nationally and in the region,” Davis said in a statement released Monday.
His responsibilities will cover government contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate, public policy and trade regulation.
He served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 2008, which included time as chair of the lower chamber’s Oversight and Government Reform. Davis also chaired the National Republican Congressional Committee from 1999 to 2002.
Prior to his career at the Capitol Hill, he worked as general counsel at PRC and chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
