Lisa Disbrow
Lisa Disbrow, who served as the 25th undersecretary of the U.S. Air Force from January 2015 to June 2017, has been appointed to serve on the audit and risk management committee of BlackBerry‘s (NYSE: BB) board of directors. Her appointment increases the number of board members at BlackBerry to nine, including eight independent directors, the company said Monday.
Disbrow brings government relations, defense strategy development, financial and risk management and technology investment experience to the software security firm. The 32-year military and civil service veteran is also a board member at Perspecta (NYSE: PRSP) and Mercury Systems (Nasdaq: MRCY).
She also held a five-month stint as acting Air Force secretary. The service branch commissioned Disbrow in 1985. She spent seven years on active duty, then joined the Air Force Reserve after her deployment for Operation Desert Storm.
She also served in various roles at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, National Reconnaissance Office and the National Security Council.
