Paul Mountford
Paul Mountford, former CEO of Riverbed Technology and a more than 30-year information technology industry veteran, has joined data storage company Pure Storage (NYSE: PSTG) as chief operating officer.
He will oversee Pure Storage’s worldwide sales operations, marketing, partnerships and customer service functions, including the delivery of global support and professional services, the data storage company said Monday.
Mountford took the helm at Riverbed in April 2018 and previously served as chief sales officer of the IT provider for three years.
He also led web intelligence company Sentillian as CEO and worked at Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO) as a senior vice president.
Pure Storage also promoted David Hatfield to vice chair and president emeritus. He previously led sales, alliances, marketing and professional services at the Mountain View, Calif.-based company.
