Brian Stites, formerly chief architect and senior manager of defense and commercial cyber resiliency strategy at Raytheon (NYSE: RTN), has joined Charlottesville, Virginia-based cyber defense software firm Mission Secure Inc. as vice president of business development.

Stites is a U.S. Navy veteran and has over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and industrial control systems.
Before he joined Raytheon, he previously served as senior strategic and operational planner at L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL) national security solutions business and CEO of Cyber Action Group.
Stites is a former operational cyber planner at the U.S. Cyber Command and currently serves as commanding officer of the Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii.
He also held senior leadership roles in the Navy such as department head of the Navy Information Operations Command, operations analyst, nuclear submarine officer and acquisition program manager.
