Vivien Bonazzi, a more than two-decade bioinformatics veteran and former senior adviser at the National Institutes of Health, has been appointed a managing director within the government and public services practice of Deloitte.
She will also serve as chief biomedical data scientist of Deloitte’s consulting business and work with federal clients to help them adopt data science approaches, technology platforms and cyber systems, the company said Wednesday.
Bonazzi previously advised the NIH Office of Director on data science matters and helped manage the agencys Data Commons program. Her responsibilities included management of NIHs external partnerships and deployment of new technology to facilitate the exchange, analysis and discovery of biomedical information.
She also worked as a program director at the National Institute for Genome Research prior to her most recent capacity.
