Gabrielle Mellon, former global project management officer for recruiting operations at Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN), has joined Axon (Nasdaq: AAXN) as director of talent acquisition, GeekWire reported Thursday.
Prior to the PMO position, she was Amazon's talent acquisition leader and led teams within its North American worldwide operations segment. Mellon also spent more than nine years at Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) in talent recruitment and acquisition roles.
“She has a proven track record of finding top talent, building teams and driving recruitment innovation," said Elizabeth Hart, vice president of people operations at Axon.
Scottsdale, Ariz-based Axon offers conducted electrical devices, body cameras and digital evidence management software designed for law enforcement missions.
The company secured a contract with the U.S. Forest Service in late 2019 and a separate contract with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives earlier this month.
