Thomas Casale, former president of L3 Technologies‘ radome manufacturing business, has joined Cobham as vice president and general manager of communications, navigation and identification and interconnect solutions unit.
He will lead the business area that operates within Cobham’s advanced electronic solutions sector and brings 30 years of radiofrequency and microwave industry experience to his new role, the company said Monday.
Casale led L-3’s Essco subsidiary, which saw its revenue double over five years under his leadership, and previously held leadership positions at Crane Aerospace and Electronics and Signal Technology Microwave.
He patented signal generation and power management methods for cellular telephony and consumer appliances.
