Mark Serway
Mark Serway, former chief financial officer of government technology provider Govplace, has joined Hitachi Data Systems‘ federal business as CFO and vice president of operations.
He will report to HDS Federal President and CEO David Turner and oversee the unit’s controllership, treasury, tax, information technology and customer support functions, Hitachi Data Systems said Monday.
“Mark is a seasoned financial executive with a proven track record in leading technology enterprises through transformational change, while maximizing profits and positioning organizations for sustainable growth,” said Turner.
At Govplace, Serway led the planning and implementation of business and financial strategies and contributed to business transformation activities.
He previously held the CFO role at Akima, Employment Enterprises and Paradigm Solutions.
Serway also served as business operations director at Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) information technology business; business management director at Getronics; controller and finance manager at Babcock & Wilcox (NYSE: BW); and senior financial analyst at Boeing (NYSE: BA).
