Kevin Leonard
Kevin Leonard, former vice president of contingency operations at Fluor‘s (NYSE: FLR) government group and a retired U.S. Army major general, has joined Vectrus (NYSE: VEC) as senior VP of the Colorado Springs-based company’s facility and logistics services business.
Vectrus said that Leonard will oversee the unit’s efforts to develop and implement short- and long-term growth strategies.
At Fluor, Leonard led a team that provided support services to customer agencies such as the Defense Department, U.S. Central Command, Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
He previously served as director of launch operations at Amazon(Nasdaq: AMZN) and helped the company organize a launch group that completed the delivery of eight fulfillment centers over a four-month period.
His 33-year military career includes time as commander of the Army’s Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, Special Operations Support Command and 1st Theater Sustainment Command as well as chief operating officer of the Army Materiel Command.
Leonard is also a sitting member of the Defense Science Board and currently studies survivable logistics for the U.S. defense secretary.
