Basil Parker, former federal chief information officer, has been named senior vice president of strategic initiatives at MacLean, Virginia-based information technology services provider Spry Methods.
He brings more than 25 years of IT and cyber market experience to his new position and will be responsible for helping Spry's executive leadership team to craft a multiyear growth framework, the company said Friday.
As the federal CIO, he helped the Office of Management and Budget monitor technology investments at federal agencies.
Parker previously served as chief of staff and senior adviser to the director for IT and cyber workforce development in the Office of Personnel Management.
