Jon Brooks, former vice president of mergers and acquisitions and deputy general counsel at Engility, has been named chief legal officer and senior VP of corporate development at Dovel Technologies.
He will be responsible for driving Dovel’s growth efforts through M&A activity and overseeing compliance, procurement, contracts and legal functions, the company said Wednesday.
Brooks helped Engility complete its $2.5B merger with Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) in January. Prior to the sale, he also played a role in the TASC and Dynamics Research Corp. acquisitions by Engility.
He previously served as a board member at AECOM (NYSE: ACM) and Engility’s joint venture, Forfeiture Support Associates.
Paul Leslie, Dovel CEO, said Brooks brings legal, transactional and compliance experience as the company looks to grow its life sciences, grants and healthcare information technology offerings.
Dovel earned more than $200M in 2018 revenues and announced earlier this month a partnership with Macquarie Capital as part of federal market expansion push.
