Former DoD Acquisition Chief Frank Kendall Rejoins Renaissance Strategic Advisors

The Honorable Frank Kendall has rejoined aerospace and defense advisory firm Renaissance Strategic Advisors as an executive in residence.

Kendall previously held the position of Department of Defense undersecretary for acquisition, technology and logistics, a position he served from May 2012 until January 2017. He was the longest serving USD (AT&L,) and led DoD efforts to increase the department™s buying power and improve defense acquisition performance.

Kendall last worked as managing partner for RSAdvisors for two years until he took a position with DoD in 2010.

Kendall has over 40 years experience in the government contracting industry and is a former vice president of engineering for Raytheon Company, where he led management of engineering functions and internal research and development. He has been a consultant to defense industry firms, non-profit research organizations, and the DoD in the areas of strategic planning, engineering management, and technology assessment.

Kendall is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, has a masters degree in aerospace engineering from California Institute of Technology, an MBA from the C.W. Post Center of Long Island University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
