Jeh Johnson, former secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, has returned to Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP to serve as a partner in the law firm™s litigation department.
Johnson will work through Paul, Weiss™ Washington and New York offices and will advise boards of directors and management teams on regulatory and litigation matters, cybersecurity, government investigations and crisis management, the company said Monday.
œAs a senior Cabinet member responsible for the overall protection of our nation, including many of the most sensitive legal, regulatory and security issues facing our country, Jeh will offer our clients a unique perspective as they navigate their most complex issues and challenging crises, ” said Paul, Weiss chair Brad Karp.
During his three years at DHS, Johnson was responsible for programs that cover cybersecurity, maritime and border security, counterterrorism, immigration law enforcement and critical infrastructure protection efforts.
His public sector career includes roles as general counsel of the Defense Department and U.S. Air Force and assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York.
Johnson started his legal career at Paul, Weiss in 1984 and his return marks the fourth time he has rejoined the law firm since 1992.
