Gus Hunt
Accenture™s federal services business has hired Gus Hunt, formerly chief architect for hedge fund company Bridgewater Associates, to lead the company™s federal cybersecurity practice.
Hunt, who has also served as chief technology officer of CIA, will be in charge of Accenture’s portfolio of cyber hunting, incident response, cloud migration and data-centric security technologies for the government, Accenture said Monday.
“We are excited that [Hunt] has joined our team, as his expertise can help our federal clients identify new approaches to better safeguard their agencies, ” said David Moskovitz, chief executive for Accenture Federal Services.
Hunt most recently oversaw Bridgewater Associates™ enterprise architecture processes and enterprise technology strategy and was president and CEO of Hunt Technology, a consulting firm that covers information technology planning, cyber and data-centric security, big data analytics and cloud computing.
He helped establish CIA™s IT strategic direction, speed up adoption of new technology and led the implementation of the Amazon cloud as the agency’s CTO before his retirement in 2013.
Accenture™s federal business is based in Arlington, Virginia and serves the defense, intelligence, public safety, military health and civilian sectors.
