Venkat Kodumudi, formerly a director at CGI (NYSE: GIB), has joined Unissant to serve as its chief technology officer and help scale its technology offerings in support of health and national security customers.
The executive will be responsible for building on Unissant technologies to provide strategic and technical direction as well as securing new opportunities with help from business development and technical teams, the Herndon, Virginia-based digital transformation and cybersecurity company said Tuesday.
Venkat has more than three decades of information technology experience, with nearly half of that time spent as software developer and architect. He most recently served as chief operating officer of technology-based company mPhase Technologies.
His career also includes time with the Department of Homeland Security. He previously worked as deputy director within the operations and engineering division of the Transportation Security Administration.
Commenting on the new appointment, Unissant Chairman and CEO Manish Malhotra said, “[Venkat’s] deep technology experience, particularly his innovations with blockchain and other emerging technologies, makes him a perfect fit for our company as we scale our technology offerings.”
