Harold Poston, former principal at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), has been appointed vice president for Octo Consulting Group‘s Department of Defense accounts.
He brings to his new role two decades of program and capture leadership experience in information technology and agency transformation, enterprise system integration, IT strategy and related support areas, Octo Consulting said Tuesday.

He brings deep industry experience and knowledge which is a combination we strongly desired in the person who would hold this position, said Jim Vant, executive VP of of Octo Consulting’s defense and intelligence business.
Poston previously led military health programs such as a $250M effort to support the deployment of the Pentagon’s global electronic health record system.
He served as U.S. Army signal officer for nine years before he entered industry in 2006.
