Don Schaefer
Don Schaefer, a 35-year government contracting industry veteran and a former vice president at Noblis, has joined MDA Information Systems as president of the Gaithersburg, Maryland-based geospatial and advanced information services contractor.
He will report to acting CEO Jerry Agee within two to three months of transition period and will be tasked to officially lead MDA’s operations after Agee retires from the company, MDA said Wednesday.
Schaefer said he will work with MDA’s management team, employees and customers to build upon the achievements of the company over these past 47 years.
He has served as VP of Noblis’ enterprise engineering, environment and health solutions business over the five years after he previously worked in a partner role at Blue Canopyas well as senior VP and partner at Booz Allen Hamilton(NYSE: BAH).
He began his private-sector career at General Electric(NYSE: GE) as lead engineer of the global conglomerate’s military and data systems business after serving as a naval intelligence analyst in the U.S. Navy.
