George Batsakis
George Batsakis, former defense portfolio lead at Accenture's (NYSE: ACM) federal business, has joined information technology provider 1901 Group as executive vice president and chief strategy officer.
He will oversee planning and development of strategies as 1901 Group looks to expand its public sector market presence, the company said Tuesday.
Batsakis will also provide his insights in the areas of business development, emerging technology, executive management, technology partnerships and operations.
At Accenture Federal Services, he helped bring AFS' technology offerings to the defense and intelligence sectors. He previously held leadership roles at CSRA, SRA International, Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), Electronic Data Systems and Teledyne Industries.
He also served in the U.S. Army as an infantry officer.
