TJ Kennedy, former president of the First Responder Network Authority, has joined Secured Communicationsas chairman of the company’s board of directors.
The 25-year public safety and wireless technology veteran established The Public Safety Network company after his tenure at FirstNet, Secured Communications said Thursday.
He led the independent government authority from a startup organization to become a $40 billion public-private partnership that aims to build a national 4G LTE communications network for first responders.
Kennedy previously led Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) JPS Communications business, where he led efforts to deliver communications technology platforms to public safety agencies.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Utah and MBA degree from Johns Hopkins University.
