Gene Zapfel
Gene Zapfel has joined the Koniag Government Services group of companies as president of Koniag Services Inc., where he will head KSI’s information technology services operations and objectives.
Zapfel will bring to KSI 25 years of executive leadership experience in federal IT and management and consulting services from both small and large companies, KSI said Thursday.
“The addition of Gene Zapfel strengthens our team with an executive experienced with managing complex organizations and with tremendous experience in strategy development and implementation, ” said KGS CEO Ed O’Hare.
Prior to joining KSI, Zapfel served as president of management consultancy Strategy to Success and also held leadership positions and supported government IT programs at Unisys (NYSE: UIS) and Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH).
KGS works to provide information technology services including security, infrastructure support, application development and management consulting services for the Defense Department and civilian agencies.
