FDH Aero has established a new division focused on serving the defense industry’s aftermarket needs and simplifying the procurement process for aerospace and defense companies.
The launch of the FDH Defense Aftermarket division will enable the parent company to enhance its military-focused products for governments, original equipment manufacturers and maintenance repair stations, FDH Aero said Tuesday.
“By consolidating under a single brand with specialized teams, we are optimizing our services and reinforcing FDH Aero’s position as the trusted aerospace supply chain partner for OEMs and aftermarket customers,” said Matt Lacki, chief transformation officer at FDH Aero.
“FDH Defense Aftermarket division provides a one-stop shop for defense customers now able to benefit from an expanded catalog with a comprehensive breadth of product offerings, from hardware and electromechanical products to consumables and expendables, and licensed products,” added Lacki.
Unical Defense to Operate Under FDH Defense Aftermarket
FDH Aero will integrate and operate Unical Defense under the newly created division.
Unical Defense, which FDH Aero acquired in 2021, provides aftermarket component parts and logistics support services for military aircraft.
The aerospace distribution company bought the California-headquartered aftermarket supplier as part of the former’s military aftermarket growth strategy.
