ExecutiveBiz featured Rick Lober, vice president and general manager of the defense and intelligence systems division of Hughes Network Systems, in its most recent Executive Spotlight interview published Thursday. He discussed the importance of network management within the Department of Defense and other federal agencies, the advancement of space technology and satellite constellations, and the challenges in implementing software-defined network capabilities.
Here’s an excerpt from the interview with Lober about the company’s network management work with DOD:
“We are working on some specific programs for the DOD in the network and mission management area, both for the Army in their communications command and for the Space Force on their new protected tactical satellite communication system. We have the experience and the vendor relationships to procure, integrate, implement and manage these complex networks – and that frees the military to focus on the mission.”
