Errol Farr, formerly vice president of business development at Auterion Government Solutions, has been named president of the Moorpark, California-based unmanned vehicle software provider.
His promotion comes as Austerion GS aims to expand its work in the U.S. defense market and he brings more than two decades of industry experience to his new position, the company said Thursday.
Farr previously managed Austerion-built offerings for the government defense and security segments.
His career also includes nearly seven years in business development roles at AeroVironment (Nasdaq: AVAV), ITT and L-3 Communications.
Auterion GS, which operates as a U.S. subsidiary of the Switzerland-based drone software company, was selected to participate in the Defense Innovation Unit’s Blue sUAS and Soldier Robotic Controller programs.
