EPA announced the award of the follow-on contract to ERG through a notice published Tuesday on SAM.gov.
Contract Scope
In October, EPA released a solicitation for the recompete contract.
According to the performance work statement, the contract will primarily support EPA’s Office of Research and Development, or ORD, at Research Triangle Park in North Carolina.
ORD conducts decontamination and consequence management research with a focus on rapid and cost-effective cleanup and restoration of buildings and outdoor areas to support EPA’s mission to respond to all-hazards contamination events. It performs research in the areas of atmospheric sciences, physical, chemical, biological, toxicological, and human and ecological exposure.
The contractor will provide support services, including facility scheduling, daily on-site and off-site operations, research activities and facility maintenance.
Aside from lab research, the contract covers technical sampling and process monitoring support; analytical chemistry and microbiology; instrumentation and electronics; off-site research; and technical support for pilot scale and field studies.
In 2022, the company was one of the 11 vendors selected for a $5.7 billion contract vehicle to help the agency develop control measures for air pollution and radiation exposure.
