A portfolio company of Enlightenment Capital, iNovex, has purchased software engineering company Innoplex for an undisclosed sum to create a middle-market technology provider in support of Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers.
The private investment firm said Tuesday that iNovex will operate with nearly 1,000 employees supporting national security missions and $2 billion in combined prime contract awards.
Founded in 2005, Innoplex engineers technology platforms for cybersecurity, signals intelligence, cloud infrastructure and information technology operations.
Gary Daigle, CEO of iNovex, said the two companies have developed a close relationship for nearly 20 years and hold shared values by advancing technology and innovation to help customers address the toughest challenges.
Jason Rigoli, partner at Enlightenment Capital and chairman of the board at iNovex, said the transaction marks the first purchase for iNovex.
Columbia, Maryland-based iNovex received an investment from Enlightenment Capital in November.
