Engility (NYSE: EGL) has recived a potential five-year, $170 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from NASA‘s Goddard Space Flight Center for systems and software assurance services.
The company said Monday it will continue to help NASA procure, develop, implement and manage systems and software as well as provide software, safety and mission assurance, secure coding and cybersecurity services under the recompete contract.
The efforts will also aid the agency’s Independent Verification and Validation program that covers space exploration missions along with future moon and Mars expeditions.
NASA originally awarded the IV&V contract in 2005 to TASC, a professional services contractor acquired by Engility through a $1.3 billion all-stock deal that closed in February 2015.

“This win continues a relationship with a NASA program that began more than 12 years ago,” said Lynn Dugle, Engility CEO and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017.
Dugle added that the company’s IV&V personnel continue to support national programs at NASA’s flight centers, research centers and laboratories along with selected non-NASA federal, state and local organizations.
