SES has named Elisabeth Pataki as its new chief financial officer, effective June 16. Pataki will succeed Sandeep Jalan, who has served as the CFO since May 2020, SES said Friday.
Intelsat Acquisition
Pataki, who currently holds the same role at L3Harris subsidiary Aerojet Rocketdyne, will join SES amid its ongoing effort to acquire Intelsat for $3.1 billion in a bid to challenge SpaceX’s Starlink.
According to SES CEO Adel Al-Saleh, the incoming CFO has completed several successful finance integrations in mergers and acquisitions. “Her ability to develop financial strategies that prioritise operational focus, efficiency, and profitable investments will strengthen SES’s Leadership Team, helping SES achieve our mission of being a leading satellite player,” he added.
Career Highlights
Pataki has over two decades of corporate financial experience in public and privately held multinational companies, with a track record of leading and developing highly effective teams focused on business transformation and value across global markets.
As Aerojet Rocketdyne’s CFO, Pataki helped expand profitability through streamlining operations and prioritizing capital investments for long-term growth. Before joining the L3Harris subsidiary, she spent three years as the group CFO of the Comet Group, where she drove EBITDA margin expansion of over 5 percentage points.
She also spent 10 years holding multiple finance roles across RTX, formerly Raytheon Technologies, and led the financial integration of Applied Signal Technologies, one of Raytheon’s largest acquisitions in 2011.
“I look forward to stepping into this new position and working with everyone at SES to jointly deliver an exciting future for the years to come,” Pataki said.
