Edward Sebold, Una Pulizzi to Join IBM's Kyndryl Spinoff Company

Former IBM (NYSE: IBM) executive Edward Sebold and General Electric (NYSE: GE) veteran Una Pulizzi have been appointed to respectively serve as general counsel and head of global affairs at Kyndryl, a new managed infrastructure services provider spinning out of IBM.

Sebold previously led Big Blue’s legal teams that worked with its Watson Health business and mergers-and-acquisitions unit that supported the technology company’s $34 billion acquisition of software provider Red Hat in 2019, IBM said Monday.

He also worked as a partner at law firm Jones Day, where he assisted clients in the health care, manufacturing and finance industries.

Pulizzi spent 11 years at GE and most recently served as its global director for public affairs and senior strategic adviser.

She previously served as a communications manager at the World Bank’s microfinance policy center, senior vice president of corporate affairs at Citigroup’s markets and banking group and a senior communications adviser at the Department of the Treasury during the Clinton administration.

IBM expects to complete the spinoff of its managed infrastructure unit by the end of the year.
