Leidos' (NYSE: LDOS) Dynetics subsidiary has secured a potential 10-year, $356M contract to produce and maintain a suite of foreign radar simulators for use by the U.S. Air Force and the Department of Defense in enterprise-wide test efforts.
Dynetics said Tuesday it will build Laboratory Intelligence Validated Emulator products for replication of threat radars and evaluation of U.S. weapon jamming capabilities in a lab setting.
Personnel at Robins AF Base's Electronic Warfare Avionics Integration Support Facility and DoD agencies will use the LIVE infrastructure consisting of hardware-in-the-loop testing, closed loop test and evaluation sustainment support and threat software updating tools.
Mike Durboraw, vice president of threat exploitation and spectrum warfare at Dynetics, said the company will work to help USAF ensure accuracy of threat emulation and increase warfighter survivability.
"The LIVE family of products will allow the United States to maintain air dominance across the electromagnetic spectrum," Durbarow added.
