  • Lombera will oversee daily operations while leading execution of the company’s strategic priorities
  • The new COO brings nearly eight years of leadership experience in strategy, operations and program management

Dynanet has promoted Ana Lombera to chief operating officer, succeeding Bill Gillan, who was appointed chairman, the company announced Monday.

Who Is Ana Lombera?

Lombera will lead Dynanet’s daily operations while overseeing the execution of the company’s strategic priorities. She will also coordinate teams to achieve measurable business goals and promote innovation, accountability and customer success.

Sean Peay, CEO of Dynanet, said Lombera has demonstrated the leadership, strategic insight and operational discipline needed to guide the company’s next phase of growth.

“She understands our customers, our people, and our business at every level. Her hands on approach and ability to translate strategy into execution while building high performing teams makes her exceptionally well suited to serve as our new COO,” said Peay.

Lombera has been with Dynanet for nearly eight years, helping advance the company’s operational maturity and leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. Before her promotion, she served as vice president of strategy and operations. She also previously held the roles of senior director of program management and senior enterprise architect.

In a LinkedIn post announcing Lombera’s appointment, Dynanet said the new COO has strengthened the company’s operations, advanced organizational maturity, aligned strategy with execution and helped position the business for continued growth throughout her tenure.

What Is Bill Gillan’s New Role?

Gillan has transitioned to chairman after 25 years with Dynanet, including serving as COO and chief financial officer. As chairman, he will focus on corporate governance, long-term strategy, financial stewardship and advising the executive leadership team. He will continue working with Peay and Lombera to help shape the company’s strategic direction.

Recent Company Developments

Lombera’s promotion and Gillan’s transition to chairman come amid a series of recent announcements by Dynanet. In April, the company named Anthony “Tony” Kirilusha chief scientific officer to support the growth of its healthcare practice and health IT capabilities. Dynanet also recently secured a position on NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement VI governmentwide acquisition contract under Category C for IT mission-based services, expanding its access to federal IT opportunities.
