DXC Technology has secured a potential $81 million contract to provide a range of information technology support services for an integrated data repository at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The company said Monday it will help CMS’ IT department manage information systems architecture and support users of the data repository as well as model, extract, transform and load information under the contract.
Marilyn Crouther, senior vice president and general manager of DXC’s public sector business, said the company aims to provide an IT platform for the agency to manage structured, unstructured and federated data queries.
CMS’ IDR infrastructure is built to store information about Medicare claims, providers, beneficiaries and plans.
The storage employs an integrated Hadoop and Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse system designed to process large amounts of data, DXC noted.
