Donald Wetekam, vice president of government and defense business development at AAR‘s aviation services sector, and Jeffrey Wehrenberg, previously chief operating officer at the company’s airlift division, have been appointed to lead AAR Airlift.
The company said Thursday Wetekam and Wehrenberg will report to John Holmes, COO at AAR’s aviation services segment, as AAR Airlift’s chairman and interim president, respectively.
“Dons stature and tenure in the DoD make him highly qualified to assess the governments aviation needs and how AAR can best serve them, and Jeffs operational experience will insure that everything is well executed, ” said David Storch, chairman, president and CEO of AAR.

Wehrenberg is a former COO at North American Airlines and has worked with other airlines that catered to the U.S. commuter market, Defense Department, allied forces and U.S. Transportation Command during his career.
AAR also appointed Brooks Bash, a retired three-star Air Force general, as program director for AAR Airlift’s Worldwide Aviation Support Services Program contract with the State Department.
