Paul Oostburg Sanz
Paul Oostburg Sanz, former general counsel at the Department of the Navy, has been appointed to the same position at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
He will lead APLs Office of Technology Transfer and continue to serve as strategic adviser to the lab’s director for commercialization, APL said Thursday.
At DON, Oostburg Sanz worked as DON’s chief legal officer as well as advised the Navy secretary and other senior military officials on budget and personnel management matters.
He also performed Navy undersecretary duties related to intelligence and classified programs, compliance organizations and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service over a three-year period.
Oostburg Sanz previously held the roles of general counsel and deputy chief counsel on the House Armed Services and International Relations committees, respectively.
