The Department of Energy has released a final request for proposals for a potential 10-year, $8.3B contract to perform environmental cleanup work at the Oak Ridge Reservation in Tennessee.
The Oak Ridge Reservation Cleanup Contract includes cleanup and remedial actions at the East Tennessee Technology Park, Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Y-12 National Security Complex; design, construction and operation of the new environmental management disposal facility; surveillance, maintenance and operational activities for operational and nonoperational facilities under DOE’s office of environmental management; and core functions for project and central services, the department said Monday.
The ORRCC is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that may extend up to five years past the ordering period and will replace the East Tennessee Technology Park contract, which has two additional option periods of six months that could extend work through July 31, 2022.
UCOR – a joint venture between Amentum and Jacobs (NYSE: J) — is the incumbent on the ETTP contract and will perform work through July 2021 under a contract extension awarded earlier this year.
The department’s office of environmental management plans to use past performance, key personnel, cost and management approach as evaluation factors to select the offeror team for the ORRCC procurement as part of the streamlined end-state contracting model.
