Twenty companies have won positions on a potential 10-year, $5 billion contract vehicle to implement energy or water conservation measures for the Department of Energy and other federal agencies.
The ESPC is a means for agencies to partner with energy service companies to increase energy efficiency and cut maintenance costs for federally owned buildings.
Projects created through the contract may include system resilience, infrastructure modernization and mission assurance improvement efforts, according to solicitation documents.
DOE noted the contractor will install energy and water conservation systems, perform operations and maintenance work and document annual cost savings from the project.
