David Berteau, assistant secretary for logistics and materiel readiness at the Defense Department, has been appointed CEO of the Professional Services Council.
His appointment is effective March 28 and comes six months after former CEO Stan Soloway resigned after 15 years of leadership at the trade organization that represents the government services industry, PSC said Tuesday.
Bearteau rejoined DoD in late 2014 after he served as a senior vice president at the Center for Strategic and International Studies for six years.
Before CSIS, he held the roles of consultant and director at Clark & Weinstock from 2003 to 2008, served as a full-time professor and director of national security studies at Syracuse University from 2001 to 2003 and taught graduate courses at the University of Texas and Georgetown University.
