DoD, GSA Award $7.6B Cloud BPA to General Dynamics IT Business; Dana Deasy Quoted

The Department of Defense and the General Services Administration have awarded General Dynamics Information Technology (NYSE: GD) a potential 10-year, $7.6 billion blanket purchase agreement to replace legacy DoD IT office applications with a standard cloud-based platform across the U.S. military.

GDIT secured the Defense Enterprise Office Solutions BPA through CSRA, which General Dynamics acquired last year, and will collaborate with Dell Marketing and Minburn Technology Group on the project, GSA said Thursday.

DEOS is the second contract vehicle designed to bring commercial cloud services to the Department of Defense, along with the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) contract, which has yet to be awarded.

The agreement has a five-year base period, with two two-year options and an additional one-year option.
