DIU plans to award other transaction agreements to traditional and nontraditional defense contractors to develop prototypes of their proposed commercial technologies under CSO, according to a notice posted Thursday.
CSO is a competitive solicitation process that is open for five years and is composed of three phases: solution briefs, pitch session and full written proposal. Interested vendors can submit solution briefs in response to areas of interest published on the DIU website.
The Department of Defense is seeking commercial lightweight technologies that could provide nuclear power and propulsion for small to medium military spacecraft sensing and communication systems. Responses to this solicitation are due Sept. 23.
