The Defense Information Services Agency has issued a draft request for proposals for a potential 10-year, single-award contract for information technology support services .
A notice posted Friday says DISA wants the Defense Enclave Services indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to consolidate IT systems , staff, functions, program elements and other IT services at DoD’s “fourth-estate” agencies under a single service provider to help reduce costs and improve cybersecurity posture.
“DES will provide all required transition, infrastructure, network operations and management engineering and innovation, cybersecurity, and technical refresh support services for a SSP network environment with all 4th Estate users,” the draft RFP reads.
The DES contract, which could have a ceiling value of approximately $11.7B , has nine performance areas, including contract administration and program management, application hosting, storage services, cybersecurity and IT services management.
Questions to the draft RFP are due Sept. 15. DISA expects to release the final solicitation for the DES contract in late September and award the contract in the fourth quarter of calendar year 2021.
