The Department of Homeland Security plans to enlist industry expertise to help an Atlantic City, New Jersey-based federal laboratory that tests explosive and threat detection platforms.
DHS issued a draft solicitation Tuesday for a potential $97 million multiple-award contract to procure technical support services for the Transportation Security Laboratory.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will include data collection and analysis work to facilitate research and development and developmental test and evaluation of systems designed to detect improvised explosive devices.
Potential vendors will compete for task orders under the RDT&E III procurement vehicle.
The department is inviting interested companies to submit questions or comments regarding the forthcoming program before 10 a.m. Eastern time on Sept. 8.
