Six companies have secured potential 10-year contracts worth approximately $1.53 billion combined from the Defense Health Agency to provide comprehensive health care support services for military retirees, active-duty personnel and their family members through the Uniformed Services Family Health Plan.
The fixed-price contracts include the delivery of medical management support, enrollment, provider networks management and customer service to eligible beneficiaries under the managed care plan, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
DHA’s managed care contracting division in Aurora, Colorado, will finance the contracts using the Medicare-Eligible Retiree Health Care Fund and fiscal 2024 operations and maintenance funds.
Each contract has a one-year base term and nine option years. The base period will start on Oct. 1 and run through Sept. 30, 2024.
The awardees and their respective contract values are listed as follows:

CHRISTUS Health – $142.5 million
Johns Hopkins Medical Services Corp. – $497.5 million
Martin’s Point Health Care – $428.2 million
