Cooperation between morphologically distinct robots can give rise to new capabilities. Here the capability for perching quadrotors and spool-equipped crawling robots to open doors is demonstrated. This particular behavior allows these robots to explore previously inaccessible regions and improves the capability of MAST platforms for use in ISR applications.
