He will provide strategic leadership as the company delivers technology platforms and services to defense industrial base, SLED and commercial clients, Planet Technologies said Wednesday.
Steve Winter, an executive vice president at Planet Technologies, said Rodgers’ ability to lead information technology operations will be key as the company pursues growth initiatives.
Rodgers previously worked at the Virginia Information Technologies Agency as deputy chief operating officer. At VITA, he developed and implemented the Commonwealth’s first cloud strategy and authored a bill for cloud readiness and utilization that then-Virginia Governor Ralph Northam signed into law.
Prior to VITA, he spent a decade at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), where he held roles of increasing responsibility.
Planet Technologies has been providing Microsoft 365 and hybrid cloud consulting services to federal government, SLED, DIB and commercial customers since its establishment in 1998.
