A Deltek analysis shows that 79 percent of the total value of the top 10 federal professional services opportunities in fiscal year 2022 fall under follow-ons to existing contracts and that 90 percent of those opportunities in FY 2022 are expected to be single-award contracts, Federal News Network reported Wednesday.
The U.S. Agency for International Development lands the top spot when it comes to the total number of professional services opportunities in the current fiscal year, while the Department of Health and Human Services leads the agencies when it comes to total contract value followed by the U.S. Army and USAID.
Deltek noted that civilian agencies account for 70 percent of the top 10 professional services opportunities. Topping the list of those opportunities in FY 2022 is the HHS’ Operations and Technical Support for the NCI Federally Funded Research and Development Center Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research program, which is valued at approximately $15 billion and could be awarded by 2023.
The list also includes two programs of the U.S. Army worth approximately $12.6 billion combined and the U.S. Air Force’s AFSAC Parts and Repair Ordering System VI or PROS VI program.
