Dell Awarded $97M to Renew Microsoft Licenses for Defense Health Agency, Three Military Branches

Dell Federal Systems has received a firm fixed order and a six-month extension worth $96.7M combined to renew Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) software licenses for the Defense Health Agency, the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Army.

Seventy-two customers will receive licensing renewal services for software products such as VISIO Professional and Windows Server Standard, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

DHA’s Health Information Technology Contracting Division solicited and evaluated proposals under an enterprise-level blanket purchase agreement using the lowest-price-technically-acceptable approach.

The agency is obligating $27.6M in fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
