Davis Johnson, formerly senior vice president and head of public sector at Riverbed Technology, has joined San Jose, Calif.-based enterprise storage provider Cohesity as VP of federal business.
Johnson said in a statement published Tuesday that he will work with the Cohesity team to advance the federal adoption of the companys web-scale platform for secondary data workloads.
Davis has a proven record of supporting federal CIOs and executives with complex missions and he has a unique understanding of how emerging technologies can help drive IT modernization and digital transformation, said Steve Grewal, chief technology officer for federal and eastern U.S. at Cohesity.

Johnson has held business development and sales leadership roles at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), NetApp (Nasdaq: NTAP), Sun Microsystems and Data Business Systems.
