TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 10, 2021 — CAES and Astrobotic have formed a partnership through which the space robotics company will be provided with central flight control suites for use on its Peregrine and Griffin lunar landers, ExecutiveBiz reported Aug. 25.
CAES will deliver GR712RC, a LEON3FT SPARC V8 flight control processor designed to provide the spacecraft with low power, multi-core capability.
David Young, chief technology officer of CAES, said the partnership will expand the number of company-made radiation hardened products already in use throughout the solar system.
