Shedd brings over 30 years of national security leadership experience to the newly created advisory board.
Who Is David Shedd?
Shedd is a retired U.S. intelligence officer who served as acting director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
He held senior roles at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the CIA and the National Security Council.
His government career included time as deputy director of national intelligence for policy, plans and requirements; chief of staff and acting director of the intelligence staff within ODNI; NSC’s special assistant to the president and senior director for intelligence programs and reform; and deputy director of DIA.
From 1984 to 1993, the former acting DIA chief served overseas in the U.S. Embassies in Mexico and Costa Rica.
The Geneva College graduate has a master’s degree in Latin American studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
