The executive is a seasoned technical executive with extensive experience driving public sector transformation, executing artificial intelligence strategic objectives, achieving global sales objectives and overseeing high-performance teams. As the new CTO, he will leverage his deep industry knowledge to develop and implement the company’s public sector technology strategy and drive the growth of its Microsoft AI, Security and Sovereign portfolios.
Robinson has been with Microsoft for over five years, serving as the senior director and head of public sector solutions prior to his recent promotion. He joined the company in 2020 as the director of WW public safety and justice. In his over 11 years at IBM, he served in various leadership roles of increasing responsibility, including head of the NA strategic innovation investments, WW technical sales leader and senior pre-sales architect.
He also worked as program director for various organizations, including the New York City Police Department, the Australian government and a national government client. He also briefly worked as a principal lead consultant at Telelogic, which was acquired by IBM in 2008.
